Douro, the first demarcated wine region in the world, was registered in 1756. However, such is the variety of terroirs and exposures in the Douro that one might say there are many Douros. This is why, between the years of 1935 and 1947 a system of grading was introduced classifying the vineyards in this region from A to F, being “A” vineyards the ones with best potencial for production of Port Wines showing superior maturation of the grapes and generally located closer to the river where most of the concentration and power, which characterizes the Douro wines, is found. This is our letter A Douro wine.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nVINIFICATION: All grapes are hand-picked into 18kg cases. In the winery cold soak, spontaneus fermentation, post maceration on skins for 32 days. Aged 14 months in 90% neutral french oak barrels, 10% new.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nTASTING NOTES: Deep ruby-violet color, showing a concentrated aroma of dark fruits combining with subtle herbal and floral notes.
