Bright cherry red with some violet highlights. Intense and highly complex. Toasted and leathery notes mingle with those of dried fruit (raisins and figs). Balsamic touches. Full-bodied and well structured, potent, highly tannic. Long-lasting with a strong aftertaste in which the toasted and leathery notes come back into play. Good ageing potential. Aged 2yrs in new oak barrels.
